Venkatesh Iron & Alloys Pvt Ltd is planning to expand its steel plant in Lapanga in Ramgarh district of Jharkhand. The project involves setting up of 2 x 12 T induction furnace , steel melt shop, billet caster to produce 72000 tpa of steel. The project also involves setting up of 16 MW of captive power plant of which 8 MW will be based on waste heat recovery. The project cost is estimated at Rs. 129 million.
