Jharkhand government is setting up Sone-Kanhar underground pipeline project. The state government through its Water Resources Department has invited bids in January 2019 to implement the project. The contract is worth of ₹ 11,580 million. As of January 2019, the project is in planning stage and the work is likely to be completed in 36 months from zero date. The project will be implemented on design, build, operate and transfer (DBOT) basis.
